2005

The first Swedish F3K Euro-tour was a thrill for us involved in the event itself. It was a little bit nervous to see how many pilots that would show up, both from Sweden and abroud. We were very happy to get 2 pilots all the way from Germany. Unfortunatelly there were no pilots from the other nordic countries, but we are hoping that they will join in next year.

The event was held at Flugebyn, a big field just outside Karlsborg.
The competitors were able to stay in the clubhouse from the local sky-diving club.

We started in a very nice weather on saturday morning. The sun was shining and the thermals were good.
After 2 round there was a rainshower for about an hour and after that the thermals were not that good, but there was some smaller ones anyway.
The flying was good and there were no easy 1000 points given away in the different rounds.

It was also very nice to see that some pilots that hasn't been competing so much in the past, started in this event.
We flew 8 rounds and after that Mattias Hammarskiöld was the winner. Roland Börder was in second spot and Peter Jubel reach a very good third.

The whole competition was running at a smooth and relaxing pase and I think that everybody was satisfied with this.
In the evening there was a barbeque for all competitors, helpers, wifes and officials. Good food and nice company nade the evening very fun.
